Anyone on the list have a Canon Digital Rebel or a Nikon D70? Looking
for info on these digital SLR's from a real person (as opposed to a

This reply is a little late, but I've been out of town. These were my final two choices for digital SLR a few months ago, and the thing that cinched the D70 for me was the ergonomics. On the D70 everything I need to change while taking pictures is accessible via a button or wheel, while the Digital Rebel's interface is more like a regular digital camera where you have to use menus for a lot of things. The real competition between Canon and Nikon is the D70 v.s. the EOS 20D, which for the body only is substantially more expensive ~$1,500 v.s. ~$900.
