I’m hoping Paul Jones will chip in here….

This sounds very similar to something that was discussed at last night’s
discussion on the ethics of music file sharing….

I personally don’t think that a jury of your peers would find your
behavior to be either criminal or liable. But before getting that far
you’d have a lot of hassle if someone came after you. Since they are
going after downloaders now you probably wouldn't be a target.

IMHO, legally, this would still be dangerous (if not illegal) territory;
however, morally you're on high ground. 
To be on the safe side, I wouldn't *post* a list of missing titles;
however, if someone said they'd be willing to help, emailing them
privately would be less likely to cause trouble,
