Because gas is expensive? Price of natural gas has trippled in the last
year and Gas stoves cost more than electric.
Electric stoves don't have a problem blowing up...

Those are the only reasons I can think of...get one. Oh and get an oven
that can be conventional or convection...you'll love it.
