On the continuing topic of "textile workers of the future" I'm afraid this trend seems to be picking up. I just talked to a friend last night who got a new job with a startup, and -- almost all of the software engineering positions are in India. The reason they needed him is he's got a Ph.D. and 25 years experience in the exact narrow field required for the product.

And I got a strange email yesterday from a company looking to acquire a company like mine, but only if the company was in India. Weird, no?

(I'm not trying to bash India here, the fact that both anecdotes are from India is a coincidence.)
