Dallas, I'm sure the domino database and the process could be changed to
allow the request status to be seen and modified. Its probably a
question of the design of the database and the process and the code.

Subject: [internetworkers] Tech support software recommendations

Hello,
The tech support group in my department is looking into what options
are
available for work request databases or how other people handle work
requests. Right now we're using a custom built domino database, where
the
person who needs support sends in an email, then the tech group views it
in
the database and marks it complete when it has been completed. There is
no
way for those who made requests to check the status of their request, to
make entries from the web, or to leave feedback. If you or your tech
support group uses a setup that you recommend or suggest staying away
from,
let me know.
Thanks,
Dallas
