Since the gov't has negative savings (budget deficits), the money is coming
from borrowing (US Treasury sales).... and for the UST's that don't sell,
from Uncle Fed's money printing tree located down the street from the
USTreasury Dept.
Can someone PLEASE tell me where all this money is coming from?

Lynda

This is true.  Professor Bernholz (Basel Switzerland, expert in inflation)
explains this quite well in one of his books.

The postives of inflation are usually short lived consequences of an
expansionary monetary policy, namely a short term upturn of the economy and
decrease in unemployment, which follow expansion of the money supply more
quickly that its negative consequences.  Negative consequences are higher
prices.

Because of the complexity of the problems and their rational economic
ignorance, voters will judge the performance of government mostly by the
results of the former policies and even events which have not been caused by
measures of the government.  In other words the initial boom that comes from
inflation (lower unemployment and an upturn in the economy) - credit is given
to the politicians, BUT WHEN THE CONSEQUENCES of expanding the money supply
arrive, there is a new administration in office and they get blamed for the
consequences (of the prior administration's monetary inflationary policies).

So yes, if the republicans get control somehow, you can fully expect them to
be blamed for the Obama administration's unprecedented expanasion (a/k/a
inflation) of the money supply, because there is a 3-5 year lag time effect
between cause & effect.

I'm sure a lot of the folks who blinded ran to their polling places to vote
for their Savior will somehow manage to blame the fall out from Chicago
politics on the Repubs.

In Canada or France or GB or Japan this would not be an issue, it
would not come up. Health care is like fire protection or police,
it's something the society does.
