No one replied to my question, which probably means no one is homesteading
near the beach. Nevertheless, I'll share this link just in case.

This is the Front Yard Gardener's blog from Niceville Florida. Okay, so
he's not on the beach and he's not exactly homesteading, but it's a handy
site with quick and dirty info for raising veggies in the north
Florida area. Apparently there are 4 garden opportunities each year. Cool
weather veggies may be planted in Jan and again in October, and warm weather
veg begins in March and again in August.

The prospect of living here long term becomes more appealing the longer I
consider it.
