Bev, Being an A blood type I am very familiar with all the ins and outs of that type. So I decided to go through a bit of the O type "stuff". Guess what ???? Most folks who have RA are also blood type
O. One of the biggest food offenders for folks that are O is Wheat.

Yup. I was actually allergic to Wheat as a kid. It would stuff me up
and sometimes give me hives if I ate something 'whole wheaty'. I could
eat white bread, but no more than a sandwich a day. I could eat pasta,
but not if I had had a sandwich..you get the idea. I was also allergic
to chocolate, citrus, and a lot of environmental allergens. I was
taking prescription anti-histamines daily when I was four...
I 'outgrew' most of my food allergies by the time I was 15 or 16, but
interestingly, it was about that time that I began having auto-immune
disease issues. Coincidence?

So here is
another book to add to your list and with the things I am reading about RA and blood type it might be the one to get first! "Eat Right for Your Type Complete Blood Type Encyclopedia", by Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo with Catherine Whitney. Being a chemist I think you would find the information very interesting!

Jeanne, remember that survey I sent out...it was because I had read that
book! I was looking for independent confirmation of what you
suggest...small sampling semi-scientific survey.
Thanks for thinking of me, though. It's a good, interesting,
controversial book.

The true significance of Sacajawea's involvement in the Lewis & Clark
expedition is that it was the first documented trip in history where men
asked a woman for directions and followed them, allowing them to arrive
at their destination.
