Not everyone has access to insurance, ray. If your diabetes has been
diagnosed , whether insulin dependent or not, you would have a tough time
buying private health insurance.

My wife works at least part of the year, always; just so , that we can pay,
through work and then Cobra for our health insurance, and it is very
expensive, still. I am un-insurable, otherwise; but , not judgement-proof.
If you are very poor, or very rich, you do not have to worry; but every one
caught in the middle can be caught up quickly.

I do agree with you that national centralized health-care is a bad idea.
But, only because I think it will not work as advertised and will lead to
rationing and lower the standards of health care for everone in the country
except the very rich..................
