I don't know what to say, Bob. We just live in such different worlds. We don't even have streetlights...do you really think anyone is going to bother to put in cameras on hundreds of miles of roads (just in my county) that get maybe a dozen cars a day? The nearest thing to a highway is 15 miles away and I haven't been on it in over a year.

Voluntarily, hmmm. Like driving. remember the article I posted a couple of days ago , one cop can tape and record for perpetuity 8000 car licenses an hour. Soon, they monitors will not be held by cops, but placed every so often on a freeway or road system, your every travel will be recorede.

This is not science fiction; it is happening now. Why should I pay over $2.00 lb. for frozen chicken when the store has it for 59 cents lb with the store card. Should I be required to pay triple or quadrupluble just for the exact same anonymity we all took for granted just a few years ago?

When Marie makes a post, like she did last week, about her experiences with radioactive waste in Illinois being stored in pole buildings, and I do a "search" out of curiosity to see if they are still doing it, and if they do the same in other states, is my name and IP # put in a database in case something happens at one of those storage facilities. Am I not allowed to be curious?

If I go to the Indian Casino every once in a while and cash in my chips for cash, why is every "cash out" recorded with my nmae and required ID, and the minute I hit $10,0001 , the IR S gets a letter to watch me for m*ney l*undering? 'Not' for reporting gambling income, but for possible "mon*y l *undering.

And all of these systems are run by beauracrats, some morons, some not; 'just doing their jobs'. The system is answerable to no one. It is much as dealing with a lunatic................

I just wonder how they link all this information to a
person. It has to be
through something you do voluntarily, like use a credit
card, or a store
card. or a cell phone. If I didn't want someone knowing
what I'm doing, I'd
pay cash and not give my name. Maybe loss of privacy is the
price of using
cell phones, credit cards, airplanes etc...all are a
choice.
