All of you have inspired me to try. I will look for some info both printed, and online to see what I need to do. Some of you mention using a clothes hanger, and I also have access to willow. I know where the biggest trees are growing, can plot them out. A geophysicist told me he thinks my creek is a fault line and I would concur as different species are growing on either side. Maybe the rod will show this to be the case. I figure if plants speak to me, water might, too ;-)

Maybe divining is not a skill you learn, but rather one that you uncover and practice. Same as what you meant maybe. I have a sense that divining is something you either can do (most of us maybe) or can't do (those few with a truly unbelieving attitude included.)

There is a book written a long time ago that tells a lot about it. "divining for everyone" or some such innocent title. The author takes the position that most folks can do it.
