Yeah, hence the word "primarily". As in, more likely.

Maybe WHO got pregnant and opted not to do WHAT a second time?

I honestly can't believe this started on basically gossip and high

When I was in the 10th grade, I took World History. My WH teacher always
wrapped up in a blanket as it was cold in that part of the school. She
would sit at her desk, wrapped in a blanket, and lecture. She would
always pre-write proper names and places and important information on
the board, so she never got up. When Mrs. Dooley was out of work one
day, the big shocker was that she had a baby. Everyone was shocked. No
one, not even her coworkers, knew she was pregnant, and that was here in
the South! I can imagine that happening in the North much easier
because of the clothing people wear. Not everyone gains a huge amount
of weight. I gained 16 pounds with one and 21 pounds with my second.
My 'bump' was basketball sized and confined to my belly. I have also
known people who have had children literally 8 months apart. If Sarah
was pregnant and Trig is hers, then her behavior after going into labor
seems suspicious to me

Why would they go to those lengths to cover up a Bristol's pregnancy
with Trig, only to announce she is pregnant later? That's
headscratching, to say the least.

Maybe she got pregnant twice and decided not to do this a second time?

And a Down's Baby is something that happens primarily to older Moms.

At age 20, the risk is 1 in 2000
At age 40 the risk is 100.
It apparently can happen to younger women.

Palin is just an irresponsible liar, no matter what way you look at it.

Maybe. If her water did break and she did fly back without getting
checked or without notifying the authorities, then I would say she was
irresponsible. If the baby is Bristol's, then I would say she is a
liar, but ultra responsible.

Apparently this rumor of it being Bristol's baby was floating around Alaska
from the moment Trig was born. People who worked with Sarah every day had no
idea she was 7 months pregnant. There were also rumors that girls in
Bristol's school knew Bristol was pregnant, but I don't put much stock in
that; you know how high school girls can be.

Anyway, if Bristol got pregnant around the time Trig was born, as the McCain
campaign told us, she couldn't have been Trig's mother. I guess it depends
on the timing of Bristol's baby.

Okay, so what are we saying, but not saying?
Are we saying that Bristol had a baby in April, and that Sarah wore a
fat suit during those last months, totally faking her water breaking,
and that a physician somewhere(maybe 2) will soon lose his license to
practice because he lied about 1. the mono and 2. Palin's medical records?
So, lets say for the sake of this, that Trig is Bristol's.
If you are the mother of 4 and your teenage daughter is carrying a baby
with Downs syndrome(you know they knew) and your belief set is that
abortion is wrong, and you truly believe that family is first....and as
a mother, you want to see your daughter fulfill her dreams of her
future...then what do you do?? There are four options
1. Abortion, which we have determined was not an option for Palin,
nevermind that Bristol is underage
2. Adoption
3. Keep the baby, have Bristol marry and raise it as her own
4. Keep the baby, pretend it is yours-raise it yourself because as a
mother, you sacrifice for your children.

Because of my bias on Adoption, I will spare you a diatribe and suffice
it to say that like abortion, adoption is not always an option.
IMO, knowing Palin's religious beliefs and being a mother myself...I
would choose #4. I could go into a lot more detail on these numbered
options for Bristol, but I won't in this post.
I can honestly say that I would have chosen #4 in that situation.

Around here, a pretty backward area where medicine is concerned, I
asked a school nurse and was told that when they are diagnosed with
mono most kids are out about 2 weeks at most. Many don't miss any
school, depends on how soon diagnosis is made and treatment started.

I suppose everyone is different. I don't know whether Bristol had mono
or a baby, but I can tell you that I was out of school with mono for
over 2 months, almost 3 months. I had good days and bad days, and while
I was too young to drive(I was 12), I probably could have driven on good
days. Some days, my lymph nodes would swell up so much I could hardly
move. Sometimes I had a fever and flu like symptoms. It would go away
for a day or two, then come back. I really was sick for a whole school
year.

Coincidence, huh? Then Palin didn't release her medical records
during the campaign. I liked that theory.

It's also odd that there was no hospital account or note of Trig's
birth. He wasn't even listed on their birth register, which is
strange indeed. Other children are listed there but no Palin, of any
flavor. Usually that is big news in a small or isolated town,
especially if any sort of celebrity is concerned. Very unusual, at
the very least.

It doesn't seem to add up, no matter which way. But it's history,
for now. I already didn't intend to vote for that ticket.

You know what is weird? There are multiple news circles in America.
You apparently hear news that I never hear, and visa versa, I'm sure.
Blacks apparently are listening to a different channel as well.
Anyway, until today, I never heard anything about Trig not being Palin's
son. I do recall seeing some offhand comment about it here on the list
months ago, but I gave it no further thought. At the time, I could have
cared less. I really don't care too much now, but it is important to
determine the truth of the matter considering that Palin will eventually
emerge from the wilds of Alaska.

If you pin me down, I will say that Trig belongs to Bristol and Palin
took responsibility, but I have done no research on this whatsoever and
only know what I have read here...that is just my gut based on the
'facts' expressed here. It does say a lot about her, the lengths she is
willing to go to for her family. While I would have probably made the
same choice, I don't think I would have resorted to the water breaking
lie. I might have worn a fat suit, though, to protect my daughter's
reputation and to convince people that I was the one who was preggers.
It is really a sad situation for all involved, but it could have been worse.
Does it mar Palin's judgement with respect to her being a possible vice
presidential/presidential candidate? Of course. I don't think it makes
her trash or 'common as dirt' though. I think it makes her human, and
very pragmatic, a trait shared also by Obama.
