Check out this blog:
http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2008/10/021724.php
From that page, there are a lot of references to news sources and other
'documentation'.

I originally posted this link under the subject NP Obama, it ran off the
AIP/Palin thread. He was a member of the New Party when he ran
unopposed for his first Senate seat in 1996..In my mind, that puts the
1995 meeting in Ayers living room in a different light.

You know, I thought Powell had innocently jumped to the wrong conclusion
about the 'palling with terrorists' remarks.
I never once thought that Obama was a terrorist or had violent
intentions. From the beginning, however, I felt that ideologically he
had non-mainstream, i.e. radical leanings. First it was Frank Marshall
Davis, then Jeremiah Wright, then Ayers and Rezko and Al Mansour,
Alinsky etc. etc....it just seemed to me that he had a lot of radical
friends in his life, and those friends definitely molded his ideology.

In this last debate, when Obama categorically denied launching his
political career in Ayers living room, I thought the media would be all
over that, but as of yet, I have seen nothing except on Fox. When he
said 'that's not true' I thought he had finally tripped himself up, but
what I see now is that people no longer care whether or not he is lying.
At this point he could be a former child molester and no one would
care, as long as he denies it and has a 'good economic plan' and opposes
Bushian politics.

I have long had respect for Colin Powell. I feel the man has been
duped. It is hard for me to accept the possibility that Powell, an
intelligent military man--- sworn to protect against all threats foreign
and domestic--- knows about all of these radical, Anti-American
connections and still endorses Obama. It is said that this endorsement
was expected, well, maybe by McCain, but not by me. I just have to
believe he was duped.

I wonder what Colin Powell is gonna say when he finds out Obama ran
as a Socialist before he ran as a Democrat?

I must have missed that. When did Obama run as a Socialist?
