My excuse is that I can't sleep in my own bed and the
sofa is just not an option for me-it is only maybe 15 feet from the bed
and we have no other beds at present.
Moon asked me the same question and I responded to her offlist but here
it is..DH is a violent sleeper. He is extremely loud, has sleep apnea,
and thrashes around wildly. He has always been tough to sleep with due
to snoring, but things picked up about 2-3 years ago and in the last 4-6
months, it is almost unbearable, for him and me. He has seriously become
narcoleptic, falling asleep during conversations or activities. I
caught him drifting off while driving, and he fell asleep while playing
with JRose, so I'm pretty worried. He has a sleep study on Sunday night.
He is so loud that even with earphones and the volume of a radio
almost all the way up, I can not listen to nighttime radio because I
can't hear it. (No one visits us anymore because of his snoring- I can
feel the floors vibrate 30 feet away at the other end of the house)The
elbows to the head, pushing my pillows off, pulling the covers off,
laying on top of me, and his restless legs and arms...it is next to
impossible. If I can get so sleepy that my eyes cross, I have a chance
of getting to sleep and staying asleep, but lately, I get maybe 2 hours
at night, and then 2-4 hours in the early morning after he gets up and
leaves for work. Sometimes, I only get the morning sleep. If I don't
stay active, I will be asleep myself! If I start to get sleepy, I just
do something different to keep my mind and body going.

Bev; what are you doing up at 2am? I've noticed that a lot of people
on this list seem to be up at all hours of the night.
