I brought some home as an experiment and they did not repel anything and were actually getting eaten. I tried a little taste of one and it wasn't that bad. I know another name for them are horse apples--has anyone actually used the fruit for livestock?

The fruits are said to repel mice and such from your cellar. As long as the fruit lasts in reasonable shape.
