When pointing fingers, don't forget that these past seven years have
been with a Dem controlled House, which is where financial regulation
is supposed to begin, and a Dem controlled Senate.

My imperfect memory thinks that has been the case for less than two years, not seven years. My memory is that a Republican-controlled Congress gave Bush essentially all he asked for in his first six years.

I am certain that one of us who is more detail oriented will lay it all out.

A conservative
Executive (and I don't say he's really conservative) can't do much in
those circumstances, about anything. So get off the "Blame Bush for
everything" bandwagon. You don't like him? Fine. but put blame
squarely where it belongs. With all.

I don't blame Bush for everything and have no bandwagon. He instigated, and the Republican-controlled Congress gave him his priorities, including the big tax cuts for the wealthy.

I blame the Bush group for misleading Congress, but all those who voted for the Iraq Invasion, for the most dishonorable major event of our history.

I blame all of our elected leaders for not leading. They fight for their priorities but do so without due consideration for how those priorities affect the entire country. They knee-jerk to today's hot- button issues but do not make solid plans for the future.

They are not leaders; they are followers, followers of whichever poll they subscribe to. They are an embarrassment to history.
