With all courtesy and respect...

When pointing fingers, don't forget that these past seven years have been with a Dem controlled House, which is where financial regulation is supposed to begin, and a Dem controlled Senate. A conservative Executive (and I don't say he's really conservative) can't do much in those circumstances, about anything. So get off the "Blame Bush for everything" bandwagon. You don't like him? Fine. but put blame squarely where it belongs. With all.

We are destroying ourselves from within right now. But, "with our own
liberal ideas?" Right now it looks like conservative ideas--
deregulation and socializing big business--are destroying our economy.
Right now, after eight years of a conservative in the Oval Office, we
at each other's throats with hateful words.

Seems to me the reconstruction starts with each of us being more
respectful of each other.
