I put down a wood floor in the barn addition (was supposed to be a shop but no headroom) using treated joists and 3/4 cdx. That was on a gravel base. It has held up good but I haven't used it for much other than storage. My plan is to convert that addition to a pigpen once the barn gets a new floor and turns into my shop. I officially started that floor with a barter deal . The neighbor's deck was collapsed so I tore it apart and will rebuild it for them but smaller, receiving several nice treated beams in exchange.

Debating the floor areas. Thinking about wood in woodshop area, concrete in other areas, gravel in the center where the backhoe will park during nasty weather and when I am away. Do you have any ideas for wood floor construction in a woodworking shop? Not elevated, right down in and on the dirt.
