Yeah, I can see that.  Plants and chemical receptors....injury/damage
awareness and mitigation...that *could* be construed as pain, but that isn't
really what I meant when I mentioned killing.  I was talking more about
habitat destruction.

One of the few things I remember from science. The prof brought in an EEG
machine and hooked it up to a carrot. When you pulled the carrots out of
the ground, you got a reading with the same ridges and valleys as you get
from a person feeling pain.
