The man's politics would appear to be the same as his pastor. His idol was Malcolm X. Same politics as his pastor. He has said that his pastor discusses politics with him. He went out of his way to get funding for those politics when he was in IL. How are the pastor and Obama's politics any different other than putting on a different face for the public?

I find two things amazing about this and other discussions of Obama's
religous affiliation.

That many people that have no interest in religion are suddenly
interested in the man's preacher's politics rather than the man's
politics. The same people have no interested in the other candidates
religion or lack thereof.

For the most part the 60s generation utterly failed to follow though
on the movement. They became yuppies. Now they are aging conservative
yuppies grasping for excuses to not take racial divisions to the next
level of a solution.
