I am just getting my seed orders ready to go out. I'm still debating a few
items, but I hope to get the orders out by Saturday. I've been a bit slow
about it this year, as I've had to spend some time beefing up the pasture
fence, as our buck has learned to test fences. I like to be starting seeds
at the end of January or the beginning of February, and I hope my delay this
year does not set me behind for the season!

Once upon a time I had a greenhouse. I loved it very much, but it required
extra heat. Nowadays, with heat being so expensive, that I keep the house
thermostat low as a form of budget self-defense, I wonder if I could really
justify the cost of heating the greenhouse. I used some passive solar
techniques in the old one, but it was not enough to be totally
self-sufficient on heat. I'm sure that is do-able in theory, but I'm not
sure I have the time or $$ to construct one that would not be too costly to
heat.

I am now thinking low budget. I'm thinking about a cold frame.
