Hi Warren...I don't think the MagicHeat reclaimer is a gamble...will
tell/know more in the spring when heating season is over. If you get one make
sure you install it according to manufacturers instructions...it's not a toy
and you can't treat it as such unless you wanna burn yourself down...:-) I
bought mine from Northern Tool.
Ayup...Ol' Uncle Clyde was an old time Mainer...with an accent so hvy you
couldn't understand what he was sayin' at times...:-) Anyway... uncle was
older then dirt...nobody knew how old...guess bein' over a hundred when he
went to his reward... active right up to the end.
Uncle was an old time logger...using horses only. When he retired he went
to lobster fishin' to have somethin' to do. Had a souped up lobster boat that
he would show off with by blowin' away more then one speed boat...:-)
One of his close friends was Rev. "Lefty" Frizzel...pastor of the "Church
With No Name"
Another of his pastimes was makin' high octane hard cider...Franklin

Hi Gene...before ya light your wood fire... ball up a bunch of newspaper
and put it in your stove...and touch it off... it will preheat your flu so
that the draft will be there when ya get your wood goin'...and ya won't smoke
yerself out...;-) tip from an Ol'Mainer...;-) Franklin

.ask them if the like gadgets or not..if they are labor saving ones...I love
um...:-)

That's not criterion. Ask a drug addict if they like dope. Ask a drunk if
he'd like another drink.

And by the bye, those had operated diary farms had existed for hundreds of
years without machines. Then in the 50's and 60's the machines came. Where
are
the dairy farms now?

Gone.

The machines and gadgets weren't a lifestyle, they were only a transition to
oblivion. There is a piece of property not far from here that has been
occupied by a gadgetologist gentleman farmer four times in the 18 years I've
been
here. "Ayup" .. they come in with the Kubota to till up the 10' x 20'
garden,
electronically controlled hot house vents, automatic electric potato peeler,
... I fully expect the next one to bring an automated **** wiper. Sooooo much
easier tilling up the postage stamp garden with a tractor.

Then like clockwork, a couple of years and they are gone. Seems that if a
shovel was too much trouble and a tractor was going to save them from that,
then
the next very easy to accept step was just to go to the Mart and buy the
stuff. After all, they had more important things to do with their time. I

Sure as hell saved them alot of labor...just in milking their cows twice a
day...which

"Ayup" I do indeed. Those farms are all gone now. Indeed I do get the
picture.

Well, Franklin, as Long John Silver said to his pirate comaptriots when
Hawkins was evesdropping from in the apple barrel, " 'Tain't for fools, and
ye may
lay to that!"
