Howdy, everyone.

Quick question. Moved into a house with several peach trees, diffeent
varieties, as well as som nectarines. The owner said that they ripen at
diffent times, to allow for picking gradually. How do you know when peaches
are ripe? Some on the first tree are now, and taste delicious, but not all.
Is there a general rule of thumb, or do you just have to check every day
for peak ripeness. Any assistance would be welcome.

Ray
