She's using heavy duck or levi material. She's is doubling the bottom and it seems to make them pretty solid. She thought about putting something in the bottom but decided against it because of wanting to throw them in the washer upon occasion, or as she put "if that one dumb kid something ghussy on the bottom again" <g>

She also put snaps on the handles so that she can snap them "closed" and it seems to keep them steadier.

BTW, she bought the fabric on Fabric.com and it was WAY cheaper than getting it anywhere else. Like half the price of going to a fabric store.

Cool. Is she reinforcing the bottom at all to make the bag where it
will stand up? What material is she using? One of the reasons I like
paper bags is because they keep the groceries upright in the back of my
truck.
