Keith, were those pine logs all cut about the same time of the year? Were the easier ones cut later or was the sap just dried out? I'm looking for optimal time of year to cut, to make debarking easiest.

the wood but by the end of the summer they shed it like a dog loosing
its winter coat. I used a drawknife and a hatchet mostly.
