Just a small note here:
This is the late Baur, the early Baur although he was already arguing that that 1 Peter was an attempt at mediation between the Pauline and the Jewish-Christian groups, took it as the apostle Peter's own attempt to demonstrate his agreement with Pauline theology (in his 'Die Christuspartei in der korinthischen Gemeinde ...' 1831)
