I was wondering if anyone has considered the following passages from Jeremiah as possible sources for Paul's thought in Romans 10:1-4.

"They do not know the way of the Lord, the judgment of their God...they have broken the yoke and torn off the bonds." 5:4,5.

"Everyone turned to his own course, as a horse rushes into battle...but my people do not know the judgment of the Lord.... How can you say, 'We are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us'?" 8:5-8.

"The law shall not perish from the priest" 18:18.

But Ezekiel says, "the law shall perish from the priest" 7:26.

A summary of the above looks a little like Romans.

Jeremiah:
They don't know the way or judgment of the Lord.
They broke the yoke and tore off the bonds.
They pursue their own course.
The law of the Lord is with them and will not perish...
but it will.

Romans:
They were ignorant of God's righteousness.
They didn't submit to God's righteousness.
They sought to establish their own righteousness.
Christ is the end of the law for righteousness.

Could this be a paradigm for his thought with terminology coming from elsewhere?
