Just a few words about Blend (formerly Wetlands) - I've been over there
lately installing video screens and wiring - I'm impressed with the new
management. They've cleaned it up over the last few months and seem to
be running a tighter ship, i.e. not running it into the ground.

But it's no longer a dedicated rock club, which indeed seems near
impossible on that end of town. I guess now you'd call it eclectic or
something. The idea is to have a stable schedule so we have an idea of
what's going on any given night. And try to make it a viable live music
venue consistently one night a week.

So Thursday is dedicated live music night. Monday is open mic. Friday is
gay-etc. night. Sun. DJs and Wed. Latin. Saturdays are open for
whatever, rock shows included.

Hopefully this helps the music scene there since it is such a great live
venue. The manager expressed frustration for the large number of shows
lately where the bands would outnumber the audience, or were the
audience. So he wants less nights of music but hopefully more focus on it.

That being said, there's currently no live music scheduled on their
website, so I don't know what's up.
