Salve,
I recently got for free an IBM desktop pentium 1 mmx 200 Mhz, 32 Mb Ram
(1996?).
1998 more likely.

It has an IBM ether Streamer 25H6106 card. I tried DSL live cd and it
detects as IBM etherjet isa-pnp but it does not connect.
Googling, I found the driver for win but not for linux.

Searching on etherjet and linux: The card has a Crystal Semiconductor CS8900 or CS8920 chip, used in ISA cards and embedded applications because they are small and cheap. Steven posted cs89x0.o for BL3.50 and Slackware 7.1 probably also has it for BL2. Specify io and irq when insmodding.

In DSL terminal type lsmod for a list of modules in use. How would one determine the io and irq from DSL?

If it does not connect, the card could be dead. Ask your friends or a computer repair place for an old PCI ethernet card.

Can someone help me?
Thank you.
Regards,

Giuseppe
