http://keesan.freeshell.org/html/bl/svp-glibc225.tgz

Static version is compiled to need only libc6, about 350K stripped.
Dynamic version needs libvga, possibly the most recent but probably only 1.4.3. I have not experimented, since I am happy with 1.9.25.

Use the static version if the dynamic one does not work and/or you do not want to download the latest svgalib that I also compiled just today.
Both are glibc225-dynamic.

Requires gs with device pbmraw (to view mono pdf or ps) and optionally bmp256 (for 8-bit color). Views at any resolution and dpi, zoom, rotate, fit page or width, arrow around. Works much faster than xpdf does and also handles ps files. Less ornery than bmv and handles pdf files.

Does not require that gs work in svgalib mode (svga device). I don't know if you need more than the gs executable from gs.

The author says I probably messed up Makefile.cfg trying and should be able to compile the module to use non-suid root svgalib. He explained that to compile dynamically you should not have the static libraries installed. And I should follow instructions.
