One question: do I have to recompile the whole uclibc

That is the cleanest, most reliable method.

I also replace /usr/include/asm, but that might not be

with includes/headers from SW7.1's k1/linuxinc.tgz,
which contains 2.2.16 kernel includes?

Hopefully that will be enough.

Lynx 2.8.6rel4 (stable) compiled with the uclibc that was put together using 2.4.31 includes is working just fine with 2.2.16. It needs a cert.pem in some location different from where mine goes for SSL to work right.

Is it just that you need to use 2.4.31 kernel to chroot to /uclibc to compile?
