Is there an installpkg for Slackware 4.0?
Not sure about installpkg, but that could solve uninstall problems. When I run the command "pkg pkgname.tgz" I get screen output that shows where things are being unpacked to. Maybe just running "pkg pkgname.tgz
/tmp/installed-pkgs/pkgname.txt" would do the job I'm thinking of? Ifpkgname could be read from the first part of the command issued (maybe minus the tgz extension), then this could be aliased to the pkg command. I guess it's apparent how feeble my bash scripting skills are? :)
