Perhaps one of the new users could explain why they did not follow this instruction, in case it is not entirely clear and needs rephrasing.

files on a Win9x computer?

Don't ask me. No Windows here.

You can, I just checked. But you may need to edit msdos.sys first to not go into Windows, then hit F5. Can someone else check if you can hit F8 followed by F5 instead?
