Are the full isntalls still only aonly about a gig in size? I remember
back in 2000 installing a version of linux that at the time took well over
a gig for the full install.

That's the senario I was considering as well. I expected that if you had
enough HD space (3-5GB should be adequate, but one never can tell) then
having it all on one system is no problem, but if you have limited space
(at most 1GB as most BL users have I believe) then a seperate system/HD
designed for development may be more in order. I'll keep that in mind as I
put stuff together and rip it apart again.
