I did, and it does exist on ASUS after FIC is mounted,
ps says its ID is some number? like 34 or 165 or such, along with a few
other like init and some others in brackets like [kpiod]

I'm not understanding how to do tests such as Is this thing
equal/bigger/smaller, or Is this thing null (whatever that is) or
D oes so-and-so exist

or Is the length of this string zero, or is it more or leess than
whatever

You saw the way I did it with the bash in BL2.1, apparently was that a
string or numeric comparison of `pidof rpciod`.

I forgot where I got all that, probably a combination of you and looking
at on line how-tos.

But I can' t find simple lessons on how to say it so that sh will do
it.

I need to know how to do if then else and case and such stuff.

Are there functions like length, as in

if length(`pidof rpciod`) -gt 0;
then
do such and such;
fi

or is it length(string(`pidof rpciod`)) in case `pidof rpciod` is an
integer

or what???

Thanks,
Sheldon Isaac
