In my opinion, no. First of all, there is *much* less
risk with Linux. The vast majority of viruses affect
only Windows. With Linux the main danger is crackers
trying to get root access on Unix-type systems. A
single-user, dial-up system is much less vulnerable
to such crackers. And BasicLinux is safer still
because it runs no servers by default. Without a
server to provide a connection, there is no way in
for a cracker.
