Greetings: Been watching this thread with great delight and learning
much in the process.. Steven will make quasi programmers out of us
yet, eh? <grin>

One comment about my lashup of Slackware 9.0, kernel 2.4.20-1:

I didn't need 'insmod loop' - apparently already compiled in my
default distribution copy from Slackware..

mount -o loop BASLINUX /mnt worked fine...
