     Did you make a  boot disk after installing  BL2?  (I don't remember if that were possible or not, I'm using Slackware now...)  If you did, it should boot your linux partition for you. 

     If not, what about a mini-linux distro such as Hal91 or whatever else is out there?  Perhaps you can access your partition from one of them and reinstall whatever packages BL2 needs to boot properly. 

     Or, as a last resort, try the Slackware 7.1 boot disk from here:

ftp://ftp.slackware.com/pub/slackware/slackware-7.1/bootdsks.144/

and the root disk from here:

ftp://ftp.slackware.com/pub/slackware/slackware-7.1/rootdsks/
