I've found a website that has drivers for the SiS graphics chipset at
http://www.winischhofer.net/linuxsisvga.shtml

The biggest thing I noticed is that the oldest drivers available there
require gcc 2.95 and what comes with slakware 7.1 is 2.91. Is the newer
gcc backwards compatible with 2.9.1? Can I install gcc 2.95 and it still
work with things that needed gcc 2.91? Upgrades of gcc can be found at
gcc.gnu.org just check the left hand column for older release links.
