Thanks for a very useful link. I found cdrtools as well as two other CD
burner programs there (CD Recording Utilities and DOSCDROAST), something
called LFNtools that lets you read/write to Linux partitions from DOS (?
if I understood correctly), lsppp (new small packet driver which is used
by the latest Arachne), Ldzip which makes zip files with long file names
(does it also unzip them properly?), Xpdf 2.03, Vmode for changing screen
resolution, various MP3 players, etc. (in the new release page).

The CD-RW drive is in the computer on which we are just now installing
Linux but first we need to get X working with SiS that has no accelerated
driver only SVGA. If it only does 256 colors we will try to disable
onboard video and put in something else. It will be useful to get the
writer working in DOS before attempting to use the same program in linux,
where you need to run scripts and pretend it is a SCSI drive.
