JCR: So, are you suggesting that 'has become'/'became'
is the best translation for the Eve bit?

Now here we are dealing with translation and the problems of trying to
match the best English term for the Hebrew idea. In this verse, became
may work quite well, as at the time of the expulsion from the garden
she was not yet a mother; but in other verses to be may work better.
