I like my oatmeal raw. Go figure <g> Has to be one in every crowd. <g>

I smash a banana and add in a 1/2 cup of oats, a tablespoon (heaping) of oat bran and a 1/4 cup of chopped walnuts.

Get my fiber and my magnesium and potassium all in one fell swoop!

Our weather is doing similar weird things. From triple digits to 70s with possible rain tomorrow and the lows have been down between 30 and 40. WEIRD!

Don't forget fruit.

In the morning I like steel-cut oats. I set it up in a little crock
pot the night before to cook overnight. You can add raisins or cut up
prunes (or any other dried fruit). My sister sprinkles on walnuts and
serves it with vanilla yogurt.

Here's a recipe appropriately called My Frugal Breakfast: Crockpot
Steel-Cut Oats, which seems appropriate:

Marie in Illinois where we went from the 90s to the 70s overnight (and
as low as the 40s overnight)
