Could you elaborate on how you oogle google in DOS? What cpu,
DOD version etc. I am very curious since I keep at hand, a 486 running
DOS (6.22).

My machine is an AMD K6 600 MHz with 256 MB RAM. It runs (among other
things) MS-DOS 6.20. I use Arache browser with YTCRACK plug-in.

Navigate to the Youtube page, with Arachne, then press F2. Select the
YTCRACK button, and you will be presented with a choice of live linked video versions, described by "itag=......." offering codec (flv/mp4/webm)
and screen resolution. Download the best fit for your system.

I use mplayer (from Mik) for .flv and .mp4 files, and mplayer (from Khusraw) for .web files.

YTCRACK is by Fred Macoll, and is superior to my own UNTUBE, which is
why I recommend it.

Note: Streaming from youtube is not recommended unless you have very
fast ADSL2 or cable.

Hope that helps.

Ron

Thank you Ron. I will try that over the weekend (if I can get the lawn done first :-) )
