Actually, that root certificate thing came quite out of the blue :-).
NSS was separated because too many other spells started needing it.
Installing either Firefox or Mozilla for them was a headache.

In /usr/bin/firefox, if we add /usr/lib to LD_LIBRARY_PATH, would it
load the module without a symlink?
