Not me, but I don't see reason why linux should not work on 386, 4M RAM,
floppy :)

The most limiting factor for compilation will be the hdd size here, I
think. I think you will need at least 256M of ram (real+virtual) for
that. Hmm, for mozilla maybe even more ... :)

To decrease hdd space consumption somehow you can turn off the ARCHIVE
feature in sorcery Feature menu.

If you(your mom) will be fine with links browser, I think it works in
framebuffer, whithout X at all. (Ofcourse not talking about text version
which would work even better :)).

Hmmm, swap over samba .... :). I would export /usr/src to samba
probably.
