Flies can carry at least thirty contagious diseases.
Flies can multiply out of control when there is a lack of natural predators.
This often happens in built up areas where their natural foes are
exterminated on site.
Would it therefore be possible to encourage these useful critters in order to
keep fly numbers down? Can people be educated not to exterminate wasps and
centipedes on sight? Can lizards and toads be allowed to co habit with
humans. Can spiders be allowed to do their job rather than being mashed
whenever they are spotted?

In a situation like Haiti, is it possible to make a fly paper from natural
materials. Perhaps a combination of a large leaf and a sticky sap? Did fly
paper orginally have this kind of natural forerunner?
