This article at the Rodale Institute website summarizes a fascinating
conference held last June at UC Berkely called the California Conference on
Biological Control and Organic Production.? Amongst the research papers were
two papers on biofumigants which sounds like guild plantings to me.? For
instance?Brocolli planted near trees?is effective against the Verticillium
wilt fungus which can attack Cherries and other stonefruit trees.? The entire
article summarizing the research papers is worth a read.
