I have Xanthoceras at 7000 feet in NM. We got down to 19 below this winter. The bush does not show any signs of damage. It even flowered, though the flowers looked a bit stunted to me. It regularly flowers and sets seed here.

I grew it because the seeds are supposed to be edible and nut-like. They are but don't particularly have much of a taste.

Regards,

Jay

Curious if anyone is growing Yellowhorn (Xanthoceras sorbifolium) in Zone 4?
I have a bunch of them in pots that I can never decide whether I should put
them in the ground or not. Some websites list as Zone 4 but I'lve also seen
listed at Zone 6.
