I have Profumata and Capron musk strawberries from Raintree.  They do have a stronger flavor and fragrance than regular strawberries.  The flesh is white and very soft.  They both runner very extensively, with Capron being the more aggressive.  Productivity drops if you just let them overrun their area.

I grew musk strawberries for many years (actually, I had the plants introduced about 30 years ago when I worked for the USDA). I finally stopped growing them because they were hard to manage because they runner so extensively. They taste great, though. I also have a chapter on musk and alpine strawberries in my book Uncommon Fruits for Every Garden.

Anyone tried musk strawberries, Fragaria moschata? They're supposedly the most fragrant strawberry.

My 'Mara de Bois' strawberries did so well last year, and are so wonderfully fragrant, it seems silly to look for an even better strawberry, but I'm still wondering what else is out there.
