Dear Richard,

Usually citrus seeds stay viable for a few months.  But if you want to be sure, just keep them wet with their own juice/pulp.  Then you may store them at 3-4*C or even outside.  They will surely not spoil.

With best regards,

Very truly yours,

Subject: [NAFEX] Kumquat seed preservation?

My parents sent us a box of kumquats they grow in Augusta, GA.  Source is a seedling tree from Lee Sharp.

I'd like to save these seeds, then give them away in early March.

Please share any ideas on cleaning and preserving kumquat seed.

Thanks,
Richard Moyer
